"bAprons" for Everyone!

Hi Crafters,

I've been SUPER busy preparing for the Christmas season. One of my big projects for the year was sewing aprons (or "baprons" as my niece used to call them). I used this great tutorial from 7 Layers Studio.  All the fabric is from Joann's. I had to size down the one for my niece, I mostly took the measurements and divided in half but I had to tinker with a few of them. I had a dress that I used to help me get the proportions correct. The sash didn't quite make it all the way around to keep a front tie but that's ok.
I couldn't leave out the nephew, I didn't think he would appreciate wearing an apron. I whipped up this cute appliquéd onesie using some leftover fabric from the aprons.

I used the leaf is from Flower Shoppe. It's outlined with the cricut markers and cut at 2.5. I sewed a cross stitch accent down a strip of brown paper.  The sentiment shapes are from Teresa Collin's Sophisticated cartridge.

Muffin tin {Advent Calendar}

Hi Crafters,

This is a super fun challenge over at Cut it Up! Make a count down or advent calendar using a die cut. I had seen the mini muffin advent calendars the past few years. I tucked the idea away and thought this was the perfect time to try it out.

I started out by cutting out scalloped and regular circles that were sized to fit over the holes of the tin. I then used ALL sorts of fonts to cut out the numbers. I cut out scalloped squares and regular squares to layer over the base. I used a printed stack from DCWV called Crafted Christmas for the patterned paper. I accented these with buttons and some Pez-a-Bling.

I got some magnet material with adhesive on the back to attach everything to the cookie sheet (and this makes it reusable). I cut this slightly smaller than the original circles so the magnet would not show.

I finished it off with some smaller circles to fit inside the cups. I didn't want to glue those in so I put a small magnet on the back of those as well. I put a die cut on top so it would still look pretty as I counted down to Christmas. These little images came from Christmas, Christmas Cheer, Designer Calendar, and Gypsy Wanderings.

This was a fun project! It has over 100 cricut cuts. It is for sure the most cricut intense project I've created so far.
As usual we have some great prizes to give away...
$25.00 gift certificate from Pez-a-Doodle
and
a $10.00 gift certificate to Kaboodle Bug Designs

Be sure to stop by Cut it Up! to link up your count-down project for a chance to win!

{Giving Thanks} Thanksgiving Project Cut it Up!

Hi Crafters,

This challenge over at Cut it Up is all about Thanksgiving.  Be sure to link up your Thanksgiving project using a die cut!

I love setting a pretty table! It's in my genes, my Grandmother and my mom both had a knack for table decor.  I decided to make some place markers for my mom's table.  I used the cartridge Flower Shoppe to cut these maple leaves at 2.5 inches.
I outlined the leaves using a brown cricut marker.

I used the Martha Stewart score board to score the leaves in half.

I folded on the score line and put ATG glue down the side and assembled them together with the fold going in.

I used a gold pen to write the names on the side.

I had some left over strips from my paper so I trimmed the strip down to 2x5.5 to make napkin rings. I glued a matching leaf over the seam.  I'm so looking forward to a beautiful Holiday season filled with family and many blessings!

Hip Hip Hooray {Happy Birthday}

Hi crafters,

Shoo, it's been a busy month! This is the first weekend in 4 weeks that I haven't hosted a party or shower at my house.  I've had a blast but it has been nice to lounge around and craft this weekend.

This fun little hippo is from Birthday Bash. I took a black marker pen to highlight the cut marks. I gave this card to a special birthday girl and fellow crafter last weekend for her birthday.

Welcome Birdie

Hi Crafters,
Last weekend we threw a party for my sister. She is having her baby next month. She didn't want a big to do so we just the ladies in her immediate family come up for a fonDUE party.  We had lots of great cheese and chocolate and even did a few crafts.

I also had been eying NewlyWoodward's pennant quilt and decided to attempt my first quilt. I even got to use the bias tape maker my husband got me for Christmas.
I learned a lot as I always do with the first project. I'm happy with the outcome!
I made a pumpkin hat with Fleece Fun's Pumpkin Pattern although the one I had is from a few years ago and the leaves were much smaller.

I used some jersey chevron material to make some festive hats for the little guy too.

I had a leftover cut from his baby book that I used for his card.  I embossed the background with the cuttlebug.

I used several cuts for this card. The spider and web are both from Teresa Collin's Chic and Scary, the pumpkin is outlined in marker and is from Gypsy Wonderings.  Halloween is from Designer's Calendar.

Custom Concert Tshirts with Iron on Vinyl

Hi crafters,

I had the pleasure of having little hands in my craft room this past weekend. I helped 2 super excited girls get ready for a Taylor Swift concert. We used the Silhouette iron on vinyl and my cricut to create a custom look. We cut the vinyl with blade depth at 3 and pressure at 3. We reversed the image and put the clear transfer tape side down on the mat.
The text is Opposites Attract, the guitar is from Old West, and the hearts are from George and Basic Shapes. I put the girls' monograms on the guitar.

I used my Jolee's heat affix tool to apply the bling.  They looked adorable in their shirts.  I had a great time making them!

Hi Crafters,

I used New Arrival for the intro page. I outline the letters with marker and cut white rectangles to size for the information.

"It's a Boy"is also cut with New Arrival and "Family is from Gypsy Wonderings. I think this elephant paper is adorable, most of the patterned paper in this book is from DCWV Boys will be Boys stack.

The title for this page is from B is for Boy cricut cartridge. I cut the light green circle from Mini Monograms.

This page has 8.5x11 chevron paper that has been stitched on my sewing machine. The Moments title is from Gyspy Wondering

The sentiment is from Stretch Your Imagination and the snow flake is outlined with makers and cut from A Child's Year.
This is my favorite layout! I love all the bright colors and spring patterns. Spring is also from Stretch Your Imagination.

Do you recognize this layout? Check out the details from my previous post
