Hi Crafters,<br />
<br />
One of the things that I have always struggled with is my handwriting. I think some of it is the left-handedness but I just don't love it. I've admired many of the journaling bible/illustrated faith members who can create different fonts and works of art that are stunning. I've looked at purchasing a few books that show how to illustrate your handwriting I just haven't taken the plunge.<br />
<br />
This is where the cricut explore comes into play! I used a 03 American Crafts black pen on vellum to create this entry. You can include all the fonts you want including tweeking the size and letter spacing. Each line is a different text box which allowed me to really customize the look.<br />
<br />
I used some stamps and watercolors for the background image. The vellum helped to disguise some of the imperfections.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEikawgQ4xZxV-WlW-qV77BACfly6dJqYN3CZdbbrxpC_zgkXAZdi_sYMZ2iqFt0aEwhos0g_EcvlTVTS1UlR9fxShzi_2t5dw3_dcc6KVh5ciwucKjiLn9P43lRR32XIjphb-foi-vdkMc/s1600/colassians+1-10.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEikawgQ4xZxV-WlW-qV77BACfly6dJqYN3CZdbbrxpC_zgkXAZdi_sYMZ2iqFt0aEwhos0g_EcvlTVTS1UlR9fxShzi_2t5dw3_dcc6KVh5ciwucKjiLn9P43lRR32XIjphb-foi-vdkMc/s1600/colassians+1-10.jpg" height="320" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I used my xyron 250 sticker maker to adhere the vellum to the Bible. I finished it off with a washi tab and a quick underline of the verse.</div>

Hi Crafters,<br />
<br />
When I saw this patterned <a href="http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=133693">paper pack</a> from Stamin Up! I knew it would be perfect for my niece that was due to arrive shortly. I mixed in some of the <a href="http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=129953">coredinations coordinating cardstock </a>too. These are not your traditional baby colors but they are so fun and bright!<br />

Hi crafters,<br />
<br />
This addition to my Bible is a complete cricut explore creation. Here's a <a href="https://us.cricut.com/design/#/canvas/25172758">link to the design file</a>.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEio9sfBNvRyU7eAjHdffS56-fTcsv45Avobf5HaCBgeLudHzoT-6yPBOHQsl2wGbHEvm3MbSHfUyhtQcTSoSY1IqTOJ4XBaYjuelNfmhTORSN_Ogbvu7CKE8o2Zw0ntw2rxpvehNuZNWv4/s1600/1peter+17.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEio9sfBNvRyU7eAjHdffS56-fTcsv45Avobf5HaCBgeLudHzoT-6yPBOHQsl2wGbHEvm3MbSHfUyhtQcTSoSY1IqTOJ4XBaYjuelNfmhTORSN_Ogbvu7CKE8o2Zw0ntw2rxpvehNuZNWv4/s1600/1peter+17.jpg" height="320" width="320" /></a></div>
I find myself really comparing the different translations to find the words that I can really understand and relate to. The final product is often a result of mixing several translations all together.<br />
<br />

Hi Crafters,<br />
<br />
I have been taking full advantage of having a few snow days. I've spent a lot of time up on the loft this week and it's been so fulfilling!<br />
<br />

I was inspired by this passage from Matthew 7:7. About asking, seeking, and knocking. </div>

My college roommate's birthday is coming up this weekend and she has asked for a journaling Bible as well. I created these 1.75 inch washi strips sized and ready to go in her Bible where she pleases. I used printable transparency paper sized just over 3.5 inches. I trimmed the edges then cut it in half.<br />
I made her birthday card with this <a href="https://www.misskatecuttables.com/products/product/freebie-of-the-day-butterfly-2.php">beautiful butterfly cut from Miss Kate's Cuttables.</a> They blow me away with their easy layering!<br />

Hi crafters,<br />
<br />
I won't admit to you how long I've had this fabric...I also won't admit to you that I purchased it without a project in mind! I'm quite sure I'm the only crazy lady who goes to a fabric shop that is moving and buys fabric just because she likes it :wink:<br />
<br />
My brother machine came with a cover which I appreciated very much! However, it was plastic and far too large to accommodate the arm on the embroidery unit. I used the original cover to collect measurements then I tweeked once I started assembling it because it was in fact too big. The front and back pieces I cut at 11.5x25.5 then on a 45 degree angle on one side. The side I cut at 11.5x12.5 to start then I trimmed down to about 10.5x11.5. The top piece I started as 12.5x30.5, I tapered this piece so it could fit over the arm. It ended up being about 29 inches long and 10.5 wide at the top of the machine and 11.5 at the bottom. These are VERY loose measurements I did a lot of pinning and taking the cover on and off to get a good fit.<br />
<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Hi crafters,<br />
<br />
Today I used my cricut explore in my journaling Bible. I made the tab you see on the side with <a href="https://us.cricut.com/design/#/canvas/25080011">this file </a>on Cricut Design Space.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I used the score stylus to score the tag and I used the cricut markers to write on the scalloped shape. I sized down a strip of coredinations paper and tore the edges to show the inside color.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

Hi Crafters,<br />
<br />
I recently stumbled on the #inspiredart and #journalingbible hashtags on instagram and pinterest. Needless to say it intrigued me and I spent hours looking at all the artwork people had created.<br />
<br />
I purchased my own ESV single column journaling Bible from <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Single-Column-Journaling-Bible-Black/dp/1433531917/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1421692889&sr=8-1&keywords=journaling+bible">amazon</a>. I was a bit afraid where to start because it seems so permanent but I knew I just had to start somewhere. I am also not my #1 fan of my own handwriting, again something I had to just get over.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1tzB2NeTaODyS8yGy1f0obyw3Eh9R21tyYdOkDgfD0oi8pAzoZ5YG5gRZ4sXEWYYyE_P00BIjJ8EH7UgTBiNq6oUW5I_eS5ojsw_unq0Aaryw1nmJEeu5DG1aVtSiJdGNv8wys_X-9pY/s1600/before+mountains.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1tzB2NeTaODyS8yGy1f0obyw3Eh9R21tyYdOkDgfD0oi8pAzoZ5YG5gRZ4sXEWYYyE_P00BIjJ8EH7UgTBiNq6oUW5I_eS5ojsw_unq0Aaryw1nmJEeu5DG1aVtSiJdGNv8wys_X-9pY/s1600/before+mountains.jpg" height="320" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
My great aunt passed away just after her 100th birthday a few weeks ago. This was one of the scriptures they shared at her service it really spoke to me especially being a mountain dweller myself. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEie_zLrTU61QJgBXEThMnupvbdooTJ2_SPEjBJbMDz5DHEZdWvRhyzLpX_1KOcrv_fwSFbugvhKBboet8YJun2i-cCq6PiFzQHz6uW7Tv35lt_6iuKehBv8uuq8mosJIu8o3PLOM_oPgIk/s1600/faith+is+confidence.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEie_zLrTU61QJgBXEThMnupvbdooTJ2_SPEjBJbMDz5DHEZdWvRhyzLpX_1KOcrv_fwSFbugvhKBboet8YJun2i-cCq6PiFzQHz6uW7Tv35lt_6iuKehBv8uuq8mosJIu8o3PLOM_oPgIk/s1600/faith+is+confidence.jpg" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This style of quiet time is perfect for me. It blends in my hobbies with my faith making it something that I will treasure years to come when I look back. I was even able to incorporate some cricut cuts in the one above. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

Hi Crafters,<br />
<br />
Valentine's Day will be here in less than a month. It's one of my favorite holidays to craft for...pink is my favorite!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjy32Dcxi-AqFtokefyoYhgXO-gQ10sVsLwXVOEIWxzSlNSr9lXDbKe_nHfh5X4Pm-LN8W4Wrz-FxtHRz4kM0n5_EpG2KJr-2ky0XO_D6qvxry0yiAUEdYYgKf9fMGn6ZWwqDGEoAy5B4E/s1600/valentine+kit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjy32Dcxi-AqFtokefyoYhgXO-gQ10sVsLwXVOEIWxzSlNSr9lXDbKe_nHfh5X4Pm-LN8W4Wrz-FxtHRz4kM0n5_EpG2KJr-2ky0XO_D6qvxry0yiAUEdYYgKf9fMGn6ZWwqDGEoAy5B4E/s1600/valentine+kit.jpg" height="320" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I grabbed a few flatrate boxes from my local post office and filled them with some DIY goodies. I love the idea of subscription craft boxes for my nieces and nephews but they are REALLY expensive. I was able to make these with supplies I already had on hand. I cut out some hearts and used the cricut explore to write out "you" in a fun <a href="http://www.dafont.com/heartland-regular.font">valentine's font I downloaded</a>. I included some glue dots so there wouldn't be a big mess for almost 5 year old niece or almost 2 year old nephew. I threw in some googly eyes to complete the "eye heart you" sentiment. I prefolded some A2 cards in various colors and included envelopes as well.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I printed out some labels for the boxes and added some pink and red washi tape to complete the package and off they went in the mail. I hope they enjoy crafting up some valentine's love!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Happy Crafting</div>

Miss Kate's cuts have lots of layers but always piece together so nicely. I used the cricut markers for the sentiment. </div>

Hi Crafters,<br />
<br />
Happy Summertime!! I've been off from school for a few days and my poor backdoor needed a facelift! My husband painted it red a few weeks ago and I hadn't put a wreath back up yet.<br />
<br />
I've been enjoying all the pinwheel projects floating around! I took off to see if I could find a free file, lo-and-behold I found this great one <a href="http://svgcuts.com/blog/2010/05/03/free-svg-file-sure-cuts-a-lot-05-03-10-deluxe-pinwheel/">Free Pin Wheel SVG file from Sure Cuts A Lot</a><br />
<br />
I cut the 3 pinwheels at 5,6, and 7 inches high. I used a brad to hold the outer points together.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgb4c4ePvTxcUW_a2kTxHicABxKybcGDNYAhHCbFnqcP4nLw94bauPjnb2acZ1Izr-5uHP5hed1Qo43bAqZ2nBr8l6AEerXxpXMFYGiM39rta0_JZocV4MIyz75bPrcsjS5t3sSUX5YH7g/s1600/pinwheel+wreath1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgb4c4ePvTxcUW_a2kTxHicABxKybcGDNYAhHCbFnqcP4nLw94bauPjnb2acZ1Izr-5uHP5hed1Qo43bAqZ2nBr8l6AEerXxpXMFYGiM39rta0_JZocV4MIyz75bPrcsjS5t3sSUX5YH7g/s1600/pinwheel+wreath1.JPG" height="320" width="234" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I cut out some stars using the stars I had available on the cartridges I already owned to make a star banner across the top. I hot glued those to 3 pieces of patriotic <a href="http://shop.anniespaperboutique.com/Stars-Stripes-Mini-Set-TTM-210.htm">Trendy Twine</a> and used the twine to hold the wreath on the hook.</div>
<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
It's a perfect addition the back porch! I will be spending quite a bit of time in that amazing hammock swing my husband got me for my birthday this summer!</div>

Hi crafters,</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The temperatures are climbing and school is winding down! I'm so excited for summer and our annual beach trip! I saw these fun <a href="http://www.myvinyldirect.com/item_66/Spikers.htm">beach spikers</a> from My Vinyl Direct and knew that they would be a fun project!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgvcclkM7irmHgGnDaeNe8kfH_R2-pG5ew3ZZBLTmb8323jLHjXinM2pjW4rUqF-fXzWwQWRxuszFJSpb0iv-kNZXMDVA5YG9aJqS5P-GNwzrJ7n6TZF2H6DmOCAxv9HCmZYyLBppNVRx0/s1600/beach+spikers.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgvcclkM7irmHgGnDaeNe8kfH_R2-pG5ew3ZZBLTmb8323jLHjXinM2pjW4rUqF-fXzWwQWRxuszFJSpb0iv-kNZXMDVA5YG9aJqS5P-GNwzrJ7n6TZF2H6DmOCAxv9HCmZYyLBppNVRx0/s1600/beach+spikers.jpg" height="320" width="301" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I ordered a bunch to have on hand for gifts but kept a few for myself! The pink one is entirely cricut cuts, I used the free chevron with a heart (just didn't use that section) and Opposites Attract. I took advantage of the upload option for the purple one and found some clipart quatrefoil and used Curlz font for the monogram. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Can't wait to stick these in the sand along with a cold coke!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

Hi crafters,<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I've been busy working on a few projects! I made this diaper cake for a co-worker who is expecting a baby boy! I found this <a href="https://www.fabric.com/buy/0311002/paws-play-dogs-bones-and-balls-green">adorable dog and tennis bal</a>l fabric from <a href="http://fabric.com/">fabric.com</a> I used the <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007VBYVXI/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i01?ie=UTF8&psc=1">Gerber Heavy Weight Diapers</a> for the burp cloths. I know that embroidery can sometimes be abrasive on skin so I used the cotton fabric on the back of the diaper to protect that sweet baby skin!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLQrOZeQlSNQHrFNyc2uPB1mSAFJxzNQPxkH2eUcneyj2pQrTVRJDG3MGLkzVpgx3iBbo2w2rIm-jmZdNR2QcxdMjjs2i9VSUcLYoa17c7OBkb8K_Q3_tG3zHSCotRbakdwSkj0b1Wkhw/s1600/diaper+cake+luke.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLQrOZeQlSNQHrFNyc2uPB1mSAFJxzNQPxkH2eUcneyj2pQrTVRJDG3MGLkzVpgx3iBbo2w2rIm-jmZdNR2QcxdMjjs2i9VSUcLYoa17c7OBkb8K_Q3_tG3zHSCotRbakdwSkj0b1Wkhw/s1600/diaper+cake+luke.jpg" height="320" width="206" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I also got some <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Gerber-Baby-Boys-Textured-White-Months/dp/B00ARDCDRI/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1400449126&sr=8-9&keywords=gerber+hats">newborn gerber </a>hats and embroidered them with his initials. I used the hats and burp cloths to cover up the diapers. Mini clothes pins were used to secure the burp cloths to the cake. I've also discovered using kabob skewers with the points cut off help to keep the layers in place.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I used my Cricut Explore for the card. <a href="https://us.cricut.com/design/#/canvas/project/17294955">Click here for the file</a></div>

Hi Crafters,<br />
I love quick little home decor projects. We have a post on the side of our fireplace between our great room and kitchen. I have a little screw that I use to put up seasonal decor. Here's some fun spring Easter decor I made last weekend.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwHDMrbieGwVFVPCN1nbjF0aB0ADXI-Sx8uavWkpuidXqhKsynhvVDxRDEJcdTZ-WWbvlsRW4g5kVac0cQx9d-7X5RrKp2buN5Kh1m_2AUJX6vMnoycqJMzUxiYQXve6dcXHXMZvr7Ro0/s1600/easter+banner.jpg.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwHDMrbieGwVFVPCN1nbjF0aB0ADXI-Sx8uavWkpuidXqhKsynhvVDxRDEJcdTZ-WWbvlsRW4g5kVac0cQx9d-7X5RrKp2buN5Kh1m_2AUJX6vMnoycqJMzUxiYQXve6dcXHXMZvr7Ro0/s1600/easter+banner.jpg.jpg" height="320" width="125" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I started with 3 simple banner pennants and used several cricut images to make it perfect for Spring.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The egg is from Gypsy wonderings. It's cut from a thick glitter paper, I used the custom glitter paper setting on my explore and it cut perfectly.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The little chicky is from A Child's Year. I cut it first in cardstock then I used some heat and bond on the back of felt and cut it on the felt setting using the strong hold mat. It did well, it struggled a bit with the feet but I wasn't planning on using those so it was no sweat!</div>

Hi Crafters,<br />
<br />
I have been having so much fun with my Cricut Explore!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I have been inspired by all the pop up card in a box fun that has been popping up all over. I used design space and a bunch of rectangles to make a template that would fit in an A2 size envelope. <a href="https://www.cricut.com/design/#/canvas/project/16192480">Link to my A2 Pop up Card in a Box file</a>. It also includes the score and cut lines so it really does all the hard work for you!</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Here is the outside of the card when it's not popped up. I embossed the outside pieces with my cuttlebug, I even sized and included the outside rectangles with this file.</div>

We are celebrating a wonderful couple this weekend!<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I made this card because it fits the couple so perfectly. The tennis shoe is from <a href="http://svgcuts.com/blog/2010/08/04/free-svg-file-sure-cuts-a-lot-08-04-10-running-shoe/">SVGCuts.com</a> the heel is from Gypsy wonderings and the sentiment is from Sweethearts. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I embossed the light purple with a chevron folder from Stampin' Up. </div>

Hi crafters,<br />
<br />
I added a new member to the craft family this week... the cricut explore has made a home in the craft loft! I've had the pleasure of tinkering around with it for a few projects this week!<br />
<br />
Here's a quick card I made for a birthday this week.<br />
I trimmed the home plate base to fit on a 6x5.5 card.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjbE-ocqqf-ZAMk9dSFzkd0h9nkjocMNIOw49rnv-zW8w0D2ngAhk78tvQ_n3ktmZdu0vO1MBMc1j_TZJVbnkiHuHq7KYdK32Wrycl1mkJEoRIN-8l9_cB4oiSnZy4KYnAwq5HNTiqWD00/s1600/baseball+birthday+card.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjbE-ocqqf-ZAMk9dSFzkd0h9nkjocMNIOw49rnv-zW8w0D2ngAhk78tvQ_n3ktmZdu0vO1MBMc1j_TZJVbnkiHuHq7KYdK32Wrycl1mkJEoRIN-8l9_cB4oiSnZy4KYnAwq5HNTiqWD00/s1600/baseball+birthday+card.jpg" height="320" width="304" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I am loving the free trial of the subscription and I will likely subscribe. It's just SO nice to scroll through and pick just about ANY image you want. I also like picking a canvas to work on, it makes sizing the objects so easy.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I've included a link to the project just incase you want a quick and easy card...</div>

Here's a fun spring birthday card I made last week. I used the tulips boarder from Walk in my Garden. The grass is from Plantin Schoolbook. I popped up a few of the flowers with pop dots to add a bit of dimension before glueing it to the chevron cardstock. I made this card for one of my paper crafting bffs.<br />
Once I glued the pennants to the cardstock I ran a few rows of stitches through them.<br />

<br /></div>
My door needed a quick little update from my Valentine's wreath. I made this wreath with the Flower Shoppe, Martha Stewart Elegant Cake cartridge, and Birthday Bash cartridges. I traced some pennants from the Birthday Bash cartridge on to fabric. I sewed close to the trace marks and then cut out the pennants with about 1/4 in allowance.<br />
<br />
The butterfly cut I cut out the pink and green pieces as the blackout version. I cut the green slightly smaller than the purple layer. I attached all the layers to chipboard because it was going outside. </div>

Hi Crafters,</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Happy Valentine's Day! Here is the Valentine I made for my husband this year. I used this SUPER easy to follow tutorial from <a href="http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/popupboxcard/">Split Coast Stampers Pop up Box Card</a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The lady bugs are cut from Create a Critter. I did one pink and one red. Our house is, as usual, a home to hundreds of ladybugs this year. I thought it was fitting for my valentine. </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The text is from Designer's Calendar. The little hearts are from Sweethearts. I used a floral pin to hot glue the hearts. The embossing is a nestabilities double sided embossing folder.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
When it's collapsed this is what it looks like. It's a BIT too big for an A7 envelope. It was super easy to make and I love the final look!</div>

Hi Crafters,<br />
<br />
One more Valentine's Project for you this week...<br />
I mailed these sweet love notes out earlier this week.<br />

Hi Crafters,<br />
<br />
One of my favorite holidays is coming up! It allows me to use as much pink and glitter as I want and it's artistically acceptable.<br />
<br />
Here's a wreath I made for my poor backdoor that still had my autumn wreath up!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEizM_Xc547J6lzqHLjhMAIbN1ltGXP3H77eCbgUa9I_opcjso1cY-I1r1q0B0NR85jM_vRiy0b8B1u9_Z093oKlNK0DiuXcHVtn8i7msppwkRYGxwVUBFG7SWdlNVItye5H3KMpDO8PUY4/s1600/valentine's+wreath.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEizM_Xc547J6lzqHLjhMAIbN1ltGXP3H77eCbgUa9I_opcjso1cY-I1r1q0B0NR85jM_vRiy0b8B1u9_Z093oKlNK0DiuXcHVtn8i7msppwkRYGxwVUBFG7SWdlNVItye5H3KMpDO8PUY4/s1600/valentine's+wreath.jpg" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I took a wire wreath form and a bunch of scraps I had in the loft. I used ribbon, cotton fabric from a jelly roll, deco mesh, jersey scraps, and tulle. I cut them in strips and tied them around the wreath filling it out. The middle was looking a bit bare so I cut out a bunch of hearts on my Cricut. Most of the hearts are from Sweethearts. I glued the hearts on some bakers twine and tied that to the wreath. I had some larger heart cuts that I glued onto the wreath proper. It's perfect for Valentine's!</div>

Hi Crafters,<br />
<br />
We celebrated our nephew's first birthday yesterday. It was a Whale Under the Sea themed party. I helped my sister in law with some of the party decor.<br />

I made a little mini pennant banner that attached to the main focal stick and attached those to other toppers. My sister in law made this adorable whale cake. </div>

Hi Crafters,<br />
<br />
I've been SUPER busy preparing for the Christmas season. One of my big projects for the year was sewing aprons (or "baprons" as my niece used to call them). I used this <a href="http://7layerstudio.typepad.com/7_layer_studio/2009/11/tutorial-for-empirewaisted-apron.html">great tutorial from 7 Layers Studio</a>. All the fabric is from Joann's. I had to size down the one for my niece, I mostly took the measurements and divided in half but I had to tinker with a few of them. I had a dress that I used to help me get the proportions correct. The sash didn't quite make it all the way around to keep a front tie but that's ok.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhdItwBG5n_2DguW-2u7Twzg6thPhofwtpGDMU22Xnt0XlKjr9qslMEaAwV8yQdhVNLs0quWtFaFLZ1XoQyVtZ0XbC9fV6ef597-1UbIZgLXsGafMKc9XKJhKlCJ8gGI8e6Q8ONaZtxz9w/s1600/DSC_0404.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="276" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhdItwBG5n_2DguW-2u7Twzg6thPhofwtpGDMU22Xnt0XlKjr9qslMEaAwV8yQdhVNLs0quWtFaFLZ1XoQyVtZ0XbC9fV6ef597-1UbIZgLXsGafMKc9XKJhKlCJ8gGI8e6Q8ONaZtxz9w/s320/DSC_0404.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
I couldn't leave out the nephew, I didn't think he would appreciate wearing an apron. I whipped up this cute appliquéd onesie using some leftover fabric from the aprons.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Hi Crafters,<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This is a super fun challenge over at <a href="http://www.cutitupchallenges.blogspot.com/">Cut it Up!</a> Make a count down or advent calendar using a die cut. I had seen the mini muffin advent calendars the past few years. I tucked the idea away and thought this was the perfect time to try it out.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjtxC4uK0HYcEOdFcCtmgR276iPTikwdEfH3K-RelCef_0OkmrxsCRDm-AmxVwBv738Cga0a3ZPgrRFUW2elGdNEnaMQvlmkkd0BBpxGSemb3Vjysq5od0uehZeZ8ShMUaMdtQxwer1vzY/s1600/IMG_0890.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjtxC4uK0HYcEOdFcCtmgR276iPTikwdEfH3K-RelCef_0OkmrxsCRDm-AmxVwBv738Cga0a3ZPgrRFUW2elGdNEnaMQvlmkkd0BBpxGSemb3Vjysq5od0uehZeZ8ShMUaMdtQxwer1vzY/s320/IMG_0890.jpg" width="261" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I started out by cutting out scalloped and regular circles that were sized to fit over the holes of the tin. I then used ALL sorts of fonts to cut out the numbers. I cut out scalloped squares and regular squares to layer over the base. I used a printed stack from DCWV called Crafted Christmas for the patterned paper. I accented these with buttons and some<a href="http://www.pezadoodle.com/pesocose.html"> Pez-a-Bling</a>.</div>

I got some magnet material with adhesive on the back to attach everything to the cookie sheet (and this makes it reusable). I cut this slightly smaller than the original circles so the magnet would not show.</div>

I finished it off with some smaller circles to fit inside the cups. I didn't want to glue those in so I put a small magnet on the back of those as well. I put a die cut on top so it would still look pretty as I counted down to Christmas. These little images came from Christmas, Christmas Cheer, Designer Calendar, and Gypsy Wanderings.</div>

This was a fun project! It has over 100 cricut cuts. It is for sure the most cricut intense project I've created so far.</div>
