Bachelorette Sash

Hi Crafters,

I used freezer paper and wide ribbon to make this sash for my best friend and bride-to-be.  I used the Martha Stewart Elegant cake cart for the B and Opposites Attract for the rest of the letters.  The ring is from Sweethearts

The bling is attached with the Jolee's Heatafix tool.  I tied the ends with tulle to make it adjustable.  I then heat sealed the ribbon with a burning match to prevent fraying.

Thanks for stopping by!

Mustache Birthday Card

Hi Crafters,

We had some crazy weather this weekend!  Saturday I rode around with the windows down and no jacket.  Sunday we ended up with 6 inches of snow!  That leaves me with a 2 hour delay for our work day today.

We are lucky that the snow started a few hours after my niece's Hat and Mustache party ended.  Here's the card I made for the birthday girl.

The mustache is from Paper Doll Dress Up.  I embossed the yellow paper with my cuttlebug.  I used a Martha Stewart edge puncher on the purple strip.

My inspiration came from Taylored Expression Sketch 152

Baby Shower Canvas and Diaper Cake

Hi Crafters,

I have a shower to attend tomorrow for a co-worker.  Here are a few things I made for her gifts.

I painted an 8x10 canvas navy blue.  I cut out the blue striped vinyl (made by the Slice company) and transfered it before cutting the white.  The font is Opposite's Attract.

The cuts for the diaper cake are from New Arrival. The ribbon has green polka dots on it.

That's all for now!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Hi Craft Loves,
Happy Valentine's Day!  I hope your day has been filled with love!  My inspiration came from a pinterest pin.

Here's a card I made for my husband this year.  I used Martha Stewart Elegant Cake and George and Basic Shapes.  I used a piece of 12x4 paper and scored it every 2 inches for the joining piece. I carefully folded the letters to the fan fold of the red letters.I used 2 4.25x5.5 inch pieces to attach.  I added some buttons and a few girly stamps to top it off.

Mustache party shirt

Hi Crafters,

Here is my first wearable sewing machine project!  This is for my niece's birthday party next weekend.
I took a pre-made tshirt and cut some applique with my cricut.  I used heat and bond lite on the back of the fabric.  The 2 is from Lyrical Letters and the Mustache is from Paper Doll Dress Up.

I used soft cut away for the stabilizer.  I made good friends with my seam ripper for this project ;) I learned a lot and of course it is far from perfect, but it works.

I hope she likes it!

Hats and (Mus)taches Party Invites

Hi Crafters,

My niece is turning 2 this month! I can't believe how fast the time has flown!  She loves hats and mustaches are quite popular in the crafting world so we merged the two to make a Hats and Stache birthday party.
The 2 is from Martha Stewart's Elegant Cake cart and the hat and mustache are from Paper Doll Dress Up.  I used markers on the hat to show the detailing.  Then I stitched around the yellow paper before gluing it down.
The inside I printed the party details on white cardstock and attached it.  I hope she likes them!

Filled with Love

Hi Crafters,

Have you ever been overwhelmed by love from friends?  I've had a week where my cup has overflowed! It's been a crazy week at school but when you stop to think about all the kind compliments and acts it's hard to feel down.

Here's one of the few acts I received (in the mail, squee, mailboxes with packages are the best) this week....
A college friend complimented my vinyled sewing machine cover.  She asked if she could pay me to make one.  I was so flattered I decided to pay it forward and mail her one as a gift.  I was so touched to see a note and this fabulous key fob from her in my box yesterday.  It matches my clicker perfectly!  She also sells them in her Etsy Shop as well.

I just got home from my first sewing class and I am one tired girl!

I hope you have crafting plans in your future this weekend!
