Bulletin Boards

Hi Crafters,

I wanted to post some bulletin boards I've been working on the past few weeks.  If you saw my previous entry with my bulletin board video you may recognize one of these

I used Give A Hoot for all the cuts on this board.

This was all done with Plantin Schoolbook using a variety of the feature keys.  This is probably my favorite board this year.

This is the board I dread every year because of its location!  It has two water fountains and requires an 8 foot ladder to complete (I always end up wet in some way and this year was no exception).  This one gets changed one time a year so the quote has to be a good one!  The font is A Child's Year. Are you noticing that is is one of my favorite fonts?

Baby Shower Banner using Cricut Markers

Check out my MANY other baby shower banners here...

Hi Crafters,
I made the beginnings of a Baby Shower banner today.  I picked up some mini clothes pins from Joann's so I should be able to snap some quick pictures this weekend so you can get the whole picture.  I used New Arrival for the onesies and A Child's Year for the font.  I used the blue marker from the primary color pack of cricut markers.  I'm really excited to see how this turns out!

It's that time of year again....

Okay okay, it's this time of year that many a teacher dreads to hear the "s" word shhh you know :whispers: school :shudders: hehe I kid I kid.  I do get excited about going back to school.  Once August hits my brain starts to whirl with ideas for bulletin boards, new lessons, getting to see all my teacher friends, and meet the students.  Last year I bribed convinced my principal to purchase me a Cricut Expression to keep at school in exchange for doing most of the hallway bulletin boards (this is truly my elementary teacher background coming out from behind my middle school teacher mask).  She excitedly and happily agreed so I have a pretty expression that lives in my lab closet for those days when my inspiration hits.  I must say that between teaching and being an RA for 2 years my bulletin board skillz have greatly improved.  I can put up a long bulletin board all by myself with no one to hold the other end of the paper.  I made a quick and VERY simple bulletin board yesterday at school.  Take a look if you have a chance...

Halloween Cards

We just got a new video camera so I'm trying it out.  It was surprisingly easy to record and get it uploaded to the computer.  It was easier than using my built in camera on my computer that's for sure!

I know it's a bit early for Halloween but I made these cards for Operation Write Home and they need to be mailed out soon for the soldiers.  The Ghost is from Paper Doll Dress up.  The pumpkin is from A Child's Year.  The trick or treat ribbon I found in the dollar bin at Michael's.

Black Currant

I try to stay away from buying paper stacks because they take up so much space and I always forget to use them.  I got the Black Currant paper stack from Joann's the other day because it just SCREAMED my name.  I card lifted this flower off of the DCWV blog.  All of the printed cardstock is from this stack.  The ribbon is from Michael's.  This card did not require any cricut just some creative cutting.

I used pop dots in-between the layers of the cut flowers. This stack has metallic accents that are raspberry colored and just add the perfect touch.  I used an EK Success edge punch on the side.

Just BEEEcause

Hi Crafters,
This adorable little bee is from Give a Hoot.  The green is embossed with spots and dots and his wings are also embossed with the cuttlebug as well.

I made several of these cards to send off to an organization called Operation Write Home they take homemade cards and soldiers use them to write home to loved ones.  This is my first time working with them and look forward to continue making cards for them.

Hopefully I'll have some more videos in the next couple weeks.
