Taylored Expressions Sketch 157

Hi Crafters,

Taylored Expressions is having a sketch challenge.   Here's the sketch they have this month...

Here's what I came up with...
I should have done a second row of stitching to help make that stand out but such is life.  This is a card I made for my father in law for his birthday.  The rosette is 2 1x8.5 strips glued together and scored at every .25 inch.

Bridal Shower and Bachelorette Party Layout

Hi Crafters,

Things are rolling on the house!  We are hoping to be moved in in the next few months.  We've had some crazy whirl-wind weekends recently and I haven't had much time to craft let alone update the blog.

I'm also sad to say that Picnik has officially closed this month.  I know google + has the picnik option and I'm still getting the hang of it but I apologize for the double watermark on this layout.

This is a double event layout. I used Teresa Collin's Elegance cartridge for the dot boarder.  The ring is from Sweethearts.  Bridal Shower and Bachelorette Party is cut from Opposite's Attract   The background paper is from DCWV Black Currant stack.

Thanks for stopping by!

Easter Cards

Hi crafters,

I was able to spend some time making cards yesterday.  I won a set of stamps Faith in Bloom from Taylored Expressions at their Facebook launch party last month.  They are such a pretty and inspiring group of stamps.

I used Give a Hoot for the bunnies (cut at 2 inches) and Gypsy Wonderings for the sentiment shape.  The cards are standard A2 size cards.  The patterned paper is cut at 2.75x4.00.

The stamp reads "My soul finds rest in God alone; My salvation comes from Him."

They've made great progress on the house in the past few weeks.  The roof is on and the siding is almost finished.  We chose Smoky Olive by valspar for the color.  The rock is on the outside of the chimney. They started hanging the dry wall and that should be finished and ready for mud by the end of the week.

Enjoy this beautiful week Crafters!
